The Canadian singer-songwriter Donovan Woods makes alt-country and indiefolk for connoisseurs: his music is understated and his voice is velvety, but his work has a big impact. Not for nothing is Woods a much sought-after commissioned writer: among others, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Barenaked Ladies recorded songs by him. On February 26, 2026, Woods' new EP Squander Your Gifts was released, in which the Canadian commemorates his good friend (and songwriting partner) Abe Stoklasa, who died in 2023.
