With their hypnotic mix of psychedelia, hard rock, and electronica, we can safely call the legendary English band Hawkwind the pioneers of space rock. The band (which once had Lemmy Kilmister as bassist) is therefore a source of inspiration for acts such as Monster Magnet, Ty Segall, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Since its founding in 1969, Hawkwind has experienced many lineup changes, but singer/guitarist Dave Brock remains at the helm. Expect new material tonight as well, because Hawkwind's thirty-eighth album, Psychedelic Selection, will be released on June 12, 2026!
