The transition from All Saints' Day to All Souls' Day
As we move from All Saints' Day to All Souls' Day, we will ignite the ritual art installation "Sacred Fire" (Heilig Vuur) along the "Path of Hope" (Loop van de Hoop) - a journey filled with light, sound, and remembrance. Inspired by the ancient Celtic tradition of Samhain, this moment marks a transition from darkness to light, from commemoration to hope.
During this journey along the Path of Hope, you are invited to carry someone who has passed away in your heart,to recall the spark of their life and use it to kindle your own inner fire. In the darkness, a shared ritual unfolds, where the past, present, and future converge.
The ritual art installation "Sacred Fire" was developed by Daphne Questro (singer & creator) and Reinier Kurpershoek (visual artist), commissioned by the Stichting pePijn en Hoop foundation. The experience will feature a seven-member vocal collective, including Caroline van Eijken, Nynka Delcour, Marlou Avontuur, Femke Hockx, Ingrid Nugteren, and Daphne Questro.
