From a basement in Kramatorsk, near the frontline, to European stages: the Ukrainian quartet Hyphen Dash creates cutting-edge jazz. Their album Basement 626 was recorded during bombings and has grown into a powerful musical statement. Expect an energetic mix of jazz, rock, and electronics, with influences from Christian Scott, The Mars Volta, and Robert Glasper. For this concert, the band is joined by the Amsterdam-based Afro-Ukrainian saxophonist Diana Sidibé.
