On the opening day of this year's Gaudeamus Festival, the IEMA-Ensemble 2025/26 invites the audience for a four-part sound journey as part of the Music Walks. The program, featuring chamber music works ranging from modern classics to a special focus on performance pieces, is full of unexpected twists and surprises. The International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA) was founded in 2003 as a training center of the renowned German Ensemble Modern. It offers educational programs for a wide range of audiences, from outreach projects and international masterclasses for instrumentalists to formats specially designed for young artists at the beginning of their professional careers. Each year, Gaudeamus Festival presents several concerts by the IEMA-Ensemble of that year, in which 14 talented young musicians tour Europe and gain invaluable experience. This concert is part of the Ulysses Platform, co-financed by the European Union.
