This Algerian band has been introducing a larger audience to Assouf, the desert blues, since 2016. While many other Tuareg bands operate from America, Imarhan prefers Tamanrassat, the capital of the Tuareg. Here, the band built the first studio, which keeps them closely connected to their culture, city, and desert. They use their music to speak for a forgotten generation. In 2026, the band returns with a fourth album, recorded in their Aboogie studio in the heart of the city. It is a tense, dry album, steeped in the local scene.
