Experienced musicians pay tribute to the pioneers of the new wave. Fifty years ago, one of the most influential bands ever was born: Joy Division. A band that left an indelible, black mark on pop history. From the dark romantic sound of the eighties to the ultra-hip post-post-post-punk bands of today – it would never have existed without these four melancholic figures from Salford. And to think that the band only existed for four years. They performed in the Netherlands only a handful of times. On October 24, you get a rare chance to experience the Joy Division feeling one more time. Then Joy Division Undercover brings a musical tribute to the iconic repertoire of the band. The band of singer Erny Green and guitarist Henk Koorn (Hallo Venray) travels all over the world to keep the legacy of Joy Division alive. And they do it with a real tribute. No dress-up parties or other nonsense, just a bunch of seasoned musicians and a golden repertoire. So put on your eyeliner and step into Joy Division Undercover's time capsule.
