Katherine Priddy
Katherine Priddy is a British singer-songwriter and contemporary folk artist from Birmingham, England, known for her haunting vocals, suggestive lyrics and distinctive fingerpicking guitar style. Since her debut EP 'Wolf' in 2018 Priddy has been widely praised by both artists and critics. Celebrated folk musician Richard Thompson called her "the best thing I have heard this year". Her debut album 'The Eternal Rocks Beneath' from 2021 reached number 1 in the British folk charts and established her reputation as one of the most compelling voices in modern British folk music. In 2024 'The Pendulum Swing' followed, which also topped the folk charts and received widespread acclaim. Priddy performs on prestigious stages such as 'Later… with Jools Holland', the BBC Proms, Glastonbury and major folk festivals, and has extensively toured the United Kingdom and beyond. Her work, in which literary sensibilities are combined with deep emotional insights, bridges folk tradition and contemporary storytelling. In 2026 she will release her third album, 'These Frightening Machines', on which she shows her development as both songwriter and performer.

Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.
