Running from 16:30 until 02:00, KEEP.SPACE.FEST #3 brings together musicians, DJs, performers and audiences for a full day and night of discovery. Across five stages, the programme moves freely between improvised music, experimental jazz, electronic exploration, contemporary composition, club culture and dance, creating space for unexpected encounters between scenes, disciplines and artistic practices.
The line-up reflects the festival’s commitment to boundary-crossing sound. Highlights include Ruidoscuro—the supergroup led by percussionist Frank Rosaly, with Andy (Ex) Moor, Ibelisse Guardia Ferraguti and Marta Warelis—whose richly layered music combines polyrhythms, shifting harmonic structures and adventurous improvisation. The programme also features Sofaya, an ensemble drawing from South Africa’s diverse musical histories and traditions, alongside solo performances from saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Karen Ng, drummer Nick Neuburg and bagpipe player Erwan Keravec.
Indie folk outfit From 2, trailblazing solo drummer Tonto and experimental electronic artist dismade showcase the festival’s broad sonic spectrum, while DJ sets throughout the day and night connect live performance with the energy of the dancefloor.
This year, KEEP.SPACE.FEST also joins forces with Utrecht’s festival for curious ears Gaudeamus. The collaboration brings artists including accordion innovator Suzan Peeters, composer-performer duo Halfie + the0ther, featuring electronic composer Anushka Chkheidze and percussionist Jonathan Bonny, and the internationally acclaimed Mivos Quartet.
In addition, Utrecht-based contemporary art & music organisation Uncloud curates two performances that will take over the Loads at late night: Annebel b2b Ambu Bambu and the audiovisual performance Saz-e-yaad by Lacuna.
For its third edition, KEEP.SPACE.FEST expands its footprint across De Nijverheid’s outdoor stage, the Greenhouse, Boat and Loods, while introducing a new stage at Vogelfrei. Alongside the music programme, visitors can experience audiovisual installations, dance performances, artist presentations and a market, making KEEP.SPACE.FEST a meeting point for adventurous music and interdisciplinary art in all its forms.
