Multi-platinum superstar Khalid broke through worldwide with his debut single “Location,” which became a massive hit just before his high school graduation and earned him a record contract with Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records. His debut album American Teen went quadruple platinum and established his name as one of the most important new voices in pop and R&B.

His second album, Free Spirit (2019), debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the Grammy-nominated hit “Talk”. Khalid has been nominated for a Grammy multiple times and has won Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award, among others. His music has been streamed over 35 billion times worldwide, and he has collaborated with major artists such as Normani, Halsey, Benny Blanco, Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, and Ed Sheeran.

In the years that followed, Khalid continued to release new music and break records. In 2020, he became the youngest artist ever with over 15 billion streams on Spotify. He released the Scenic Drive tape, among others, and collaborated with Marshmello again on the hit “Numb”. In 2023, he appeared on the soundtrack of the film Barbie and performed with Ed Sheeran during parts of his North American tour. His third album, Sincere (2024), showed a more personal side of the artist and dealt with growing up.

In October 2025, Khalid's most recent album, After The Sun Goes Down, was released, a 17-track mix of smooth R&B, electro-pop, and synth sounds inspired by the 80s. The album received positive reviews from critics and yielded the hit singles “In Plain Sight” and “Nah.” With this release, a new chapter in his career began. At the same time, he announced his “Always Summer Somewhere Tour,” a North American tour of 25 shows starting on May 16, 2026, in Las Vegas.

In November 2025, Khalid received the “Disruptor Award” from Billboard during the Live Billboard Music Summit, in recognition of his influence on the music industry and his genre-transcending style. Around the same time, he scored a number-1 hit on the dance radio charts with “Nobody (Make Me Feel)” together with Oskar Med K.

In early 2026, Khalid continued his success with the collaboration “Save My Love” with Kygo and Griffyn, a track that quickly climbed the international dance charts.
