MAQUINA . is an energetic power trio from Lisbon, Portugal, founded in 2021. The band consists of João Cavalheiro (guitar), Tomás Brito (bass), and Halison Peres (drums and vocals). MAQUINA. is known for their intense and exhilarating live shows, in which they combine raw post-punk aggression with electronic textures, Krautrock-like repetition, and the raw energy of industrial sound — all without the use of backing tracks or electronic aids.
Their debut album DIRTY TRACKS FOR CLUBBING (2023) introduced their direct, physical sound: fast, minimalist rock made to get people moving. The follow-up, PRATA (2024), released via Fuzz Club Records, deepens that rhythmic approach even further and challenges what a guitar-bass-drum trio can achieve live.
MAQUINA. embraces the structure and endurance of club music, but remains firmly rooted in the tangible intensity of live rock instrumentation. In doing so, the band has carved out a unique spot in the European underground scene — a place where imperfection, sweat, and spontaneity are celebrated.
