Take a touch of Latin, add a pinch of percussion, and top it with a Moluccan twist, and you get Massada. We've been enjoying their music for over fifty years, and on Saturday, September 12th, the band will be at Patronaat.
Massada has been a unique band in Dutch music history since the 1960s. They started out at Moluccan parties but broke through with hit singles like "Dansa," "Latin Dance," and "Sajang é." Thanks to their use of a wide range of percussion and their Latin American rhythms, Massada introduced a whole new sound in the Netherlands and beyond. They performed at Pinkpop, the International Java Jazz Festival, and in their homeland, the Moluccas.
