American singer-songwriter Matt Simons scored a hit in the Netherlands in 2012 with "With You," thanks to the soap opera Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden. With his upbeat pop songs, Simons remained popular in our country, and his next success even had a Dutch contribution: "Catch & Release" (2014) became a bigger hit two years later thanks to a remix by Deepend (which now has over half a billion Spotify streams). His latest album, "Sun In California!", was released in 2025.
