Over two October days at the heart of Amsterdam in Splendor, the MAZE collective presents a contemporary composition festival built around memory and dreams, and around what happens when music is made, performed and heard through remembering. The festival, much like the collective, dissolves the hierarchy between the composer, score, performer and listener through adventurous approaches. Among the programme, you’ll be able to experience several premieres of newly created works, previously created compositions seeing a new iteration, join a workshop and panel talks. For a beautiful closing moment on Sunday, don’t miss the final concert with three pieces by the beloved late composer Eliane Radigue. Sunday 25 October evening concerts: 20:00 – Dario Calderone: The Dreamed Sound (25’), 20:30 – Anne La Berge: Pause Then (20’), 21:30 – Éliane Radigue: Occam IV (solo viola) 2012 (20′), Occam River II (violin and cello) 2013 (20′), Occam Delta III (violin, viola and cello) 2013 (23′), Performed by Silvia Tarozzi, Deborah Walker, and Julia Eckhardt
