The British band Napalm Death is regarded as one of the godfathers of grindcore, a raw fusion of hardcore punk and metal, which in Napalm Death's case also carries a strong political and socially critical message. Debut album Scum (1987) is a classic that remains an influence on many metal bands to this day and also contains the shortest song of all time: You Suffer (1,316 seconds). But even after nearly forty-five years in the business, the band is still very active; a collaborative album with Melvins was released last year, and they are currently hard at work recording their seventeenth studio album.

After two sold-out Pandoras, the Campaign For Musical Destruction Tour (named after an album by the legendary Dutch hardcore punk band Lärm!) returns for a third round in Utrecht. On the line-up for this Campaign: the American death metal band Master , founded in 1983 , “extreme bimboviolence” band Brat from New Orleans, and the Finnish Goatburner (featuring Rotten Sound singer Keijo Niinimaa!).
