The Netherlands Violin Competition supports the development of young violinists in the Netherlands. Through competitions, workshops, masterclasses, and development programmes, the organisation offers talented musicians the opportunity to accelerate their artistic and professional growth. With events such as the Night of the Violin festival, they create meeting places for talent, the public, and professionals in the field. In doing so, they stimulate not only artistic development but also visibility and connection within the classical music sector.
Additionally, laureates and other young musicians gain concrete concert experience on professional stages. This is an essential experience in the transition from studies to professional practice. During the Saturday afternoon of the Gaudeamus Festival, three winners of the 2026 Netherlands Violin Competition will present themselves: Reza (Raelene) Pramana, Wendel de Bruijne, and Anne Sophie van Lier.
