For over 45 years, Orkest De Ereprijs has been the leading ensemble for contemporary music rooted in the eastern Netherlands. As a ‘living instrument for the music of today’, the ensemble commissions composers from all generations. Through national and international concerts, as well as exciting collaborations, De Ereprijs promotes innovation, connection, and talent development.
At Gaudeamus Festival, De Ereprijs presents an engaging programme featuring works by Cecilia Arditto Delsoglio, Ivo Bol/Tom Aldrich, and the world premieres of three new compositions by Yu Oda, Sara Zamboni and Yannis Patoukas. Both pieces are co-commissioned with Gaudeamus for the concert series Aardlek, which De Ereprijs runs over two seasons under the title Capitalism, Futurism and Resilience in Image and Music. The programme also features the latest compositions by the two laureates of the 2024 Young Composers edition, Rebecca Galian Castello and Julius van Lorentz.
