Roomer

The Berlin-based trio Roomer weaves noise, melody, and memory into expansive, guitar-driven compositions. The band was founded by longtime friends and collaborators Ronja Schößler, Ludwig Wandinger, and Luka Aron. Their music brings together influences from the European avant-garde, folk, and electronic scenes into a sound that moves between the density of shoegaze, diary-like songwriting, and sonic experimentation. Their songs often balance contradictions: clarity and blurring, structure and letting go, intimacy and collapse. ‍With their debut album Leaving It All to Chance (2025, Squama), the band introduced this musical language in full force. Emotionally direct songs were combined with shifting textures and layered distortion. On Staircase Made of Rope, their second album for Squama, set to be released on September 18, 2026, Roomer continues this line. The album, largely constructed from improvisations and first recordings, embraces instability as a working method. It moves between density and silence, allowing melodies to appear and disappear at unexpected moments. ‍After performances at the ICA in London, ESNS, and The Great Escape, among others, Roomer returns with new music. In the autumn of 2026, the band will tour extensively throughout Europe for a new tour.
