Not surprising, of course, with Balkan bangers like Mahalageasca, Disko Partizani, and Disko Boy in his repertoire. However, Shantel's musical universe is limitless: on his album Viva Diaspora (2015), he drew inspiration from dub reggae, and his latest album Mētrópolis (2023) transports you to a Middle Eastern atmosphere—a thousand-and-one club night, so to speak.
