American-Indian singer-songwriter Sheherazaad (her stage name comes from the Persian Scheherazade from One Thousand and One Nights) creates a unique blend of modern folk-pop and traditional South Asian music, singing in Urdu, Hindi, and Arabic. At times, she's reminiscent of Arooj Aftab, the first Pakistani artist to win a Grammy—it's no coincidence that Aftab produced Sheherazaad's debut EP, Qasr (2024).
