The Swedish prog metal band Soen performed in our Ronda last year as part of the Ultima Ratio Fest festival; now they are back as headliners. And for good reason, as their seventh album, Reliance, was released earlier this year. The genre label prog metal has always been a bit too restrictive for Soen; the band moves just as easily towards Tool-esque prog rock or alternative metal, thanks in part to the skills of super drummer Martín López! Soen is bringing two support acts from their home country: headlining Tribulation (gothic/black metal) and Vulkan (heavy prog rock).
