The up-and-coming Dutch band combines an aggressive mix of hardcore, metalcore, and deathcore, with influences from Stick To Your Guns, Slipknot, END, and Boundaries, among others. On Sunday, November 29, they will be playing at Patronaat alongside the brutal hardcore band Braces!
Sugar Spine's music moves effortlessly between sultry clean passages, furious two-steps, and devastating breakdowns. What began in 2021 as a solo project by vocalist Josh Muncke grew into a full-fledged live band in 2023, which has since shared the stage with international names such as Jesus Piece, Breakdown of Sanity, Half Me, and Misery Signals.
With the highly acclaimed EP Violent Heaven, Sugar Spine demonstrates that pure willpower, authenticity, and tenacity are enough to become a force of considerable stature.

Braces
Hard and straight to the point. Hardcore and deathcore as it was meant to be. Braces makes music that hits you right in the face. The four-piece metal band from Tilburg combines elements of hardcore, deathcore, and metalcore, with influences from bands like Slipknot, Emmure, and Knocked Loose.
After two strong years, Braces has firmly established itself. Highlights include a sold-out debut show and support slots for bands such as Deez Nuts, To The Grave, and Crystal Lake. Festivals were not spared either: Jera On Air, Herrie Festival, and Popronde were all part of their rise.
In 2023, the band released their debut EP Ugly World, followed by a series of well-received singles. In 2025, Braces shifted into a higher gear with the release of their debut album Hostile Territory in September of that year.
