English singer-songwriter Tom McRae combines somber lyrics with wondrous music, carving out a unique place for himself within the singer-songwriter landscape. Inspired by Dylan, Nick Cave, and Jeff Buckley, McRae released his self-titled debut album in 2000 and has been on a never-ending world tour ever since. He has now released ten albums in 25 years, with (the partly French-language) Étrange Hiver (2024) being the latest. McRae – also a gifted storyteller of anecdotes – takes the stage solo tonight and plays work from throughout his career!
