When you see them standing there like this—the modern troubadours Tophouse—it won't surprise you that they have a past as street musicians. After playing every street corner in Montana, the band moved to Nashville: the absolute global capital of Roots. From here, they continued to refine their original sound and enchanted sold-out venues throughout America with their nostalgic sound.
But Tophouse does more than just hark back to the past. They dress the rootsy charm of bluegrass, folk, and Americana in a new, poppy lumberjack jacket. Speaking of heartwarming stories: support act Raynes came into being when American multi-instrumentalists Mat Charley and Joe Berger saw a video of English singer Mark Race. They immediately fell in love with his voice. After a few phone calls back and forth, Mark was on a plane to North Dakota. Since then, he has had the flight number tattooed on his arm and travels the world with Raynes. This pop band full of cowboys combines folk, Americana, baroque pop, and Celtic music into something entirely new. They call themselves 'musical omnivores.' And they devour De Helling wholeheartedly, too.
