In the early seventies, Uriah Heep (along with Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath) took our country by storm, and essentially, they never left. Now they are coming to Haarlem one last time with their farewell tour, to be precise on Saturday, October 24 at PHIL.
With 24 studio and 21 live albums and countless successful shows to their name, Uriah Heep already has an impressive track record. But these British rockers are truly at their best live. At 78, guitarist Mick Box still manages to conjure one lick after another from his guitar, keyboardist Phil Lanzon plays the hardest notes on his Hammond, and singer Bernie Shaw lets his impressive voice resonate around. In Haarlem, the band draws from their entire oeuvre: from debut album 'Very 'eavy Very 'umble' to their latest work, 'Chaos & Colour' from 2023. Although the band indicated last year that they were not yet finished, they are performing this farewell tour under the name 'The Magicians Farewell'.
