The Tilburgers of Vanaheim have carved out a place entirely their own in the Dutch metal circuit. And that is quite an achievement, in a genre with thousands of subcategories. With an arsenal of catchy wrecking balls of songs that feel like true battle anthems, they open the mosh pit in the fairytale forest. Vanaheim's music might seem to come straight out of a dream world, but nothing could be further from the truth. Listen closely to the archaic Dutch grunts of frontman Zino van Leerdam, and you will discover countless parallels with the present. Stories about the destructive, greedy nature of man. This band is named after a mythical giant from biblical stories, and that is more than justified. For their devastating riffs are both mythical and colossal, crushing everything in their path.
