And the band is celebrating this with a show at De Helling, entirely dedicated to one of the best Britpop records ever.
Since debuting at number 1 in 1977, the band grew from a bunch of very young teenage boys into mature indie heroes with a gold-plated career full of highlights. The successful follow-up Free All Angels, for example, or their most recent banger of a single Keep Dreaming. Ash in no way dwelled on the success of 1977, yet the album always held a special place in the hearts of fans and the band itself.
