Babs is a versatile, colourful artist and producer from Leiden, who combines socially conscious rap lyrics with danceable, self-produced pop beats. Her debut EP ‘Ruimtevrees’ was released during the pandemic in 2021. Since then, she performed at festivals such as Noorderslag, Paaspop, Dauwpop and Zwarte Cross, and her track ‘Bennie Boos’ was nominated for Song of the Year. She also took part in the popular TV programme Wie is de Mol? in 2024.

With her energetic, dynamic live show, Babs has played on countless stages and completed two sold-out club tours across the Netherlands. Together with a tight live band, which includes her twin brother on keys and as MC, she effortlessly gets a crowd dancing, whilst simultaneously confronting them with her personal and vulnerable lyrics.
