Bare Jams
Feel-good indie pop for when life gets dark
Tough times? Bare Jams! These Brits are the ultimate cure for a rotten mood. For about fifteen years now, they have been making irresistible feel-good songs for when things aren't going well. Passionate indie pop with touches of soul, funk, jazz, and rock. A sound you've never heard before, with hooks you sing along to as if you've known them for years.
What once started on a street corner – when street musicians Ollie Coombes and Sam James decided to start a band – grew into a six-piece live monster with an impressive resume. From Glastonbury to Boomtown Fair: no audience could resist the joyful chaos of Bare Jams.
Still, they have had a tough time behind them. Their previous, aptly titled album No Rain No Flowers, came about during a difficult period. A self-proclaimed make-or-break period, in which the band wrestled with themes such as perseverance and togetherness. But hey, no rain, no flowers. And nowadays, Bare Jams is picking them in abundance again. Their next album is already ready. We don't know exactly what it sounds like yet. But one thing is certain: it will make you happy. On October 7, you can hear it at De Helling, while you dance away all your worries to Bare Jams.
