Post-punk

Bloc Party and Interpol announced their co-headline tour this morning, bringing together two influential bands from the past three decades for 18 concerts across the United Kingdom and Europe in 2026.

The tour starts on 10 November in Copenhagen and then travels via Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam, before the bands head to the United Kingdom for multiple shows, including two closing nights at London’s Olympia on 4 and 5 December.

During the tour Bloc Party and Interpol will perform highlights from their careers spanning more than twenty years, including classics from Silent Alarm (Bloc Party) and Antics (Interpol) – two albums that this year celebrate their 20th anniversary.

About Bloc Party
From infectious post-punk to bold genre experiments: Bloc Party’s artistic restlessness has brought them far since the early 2000s. Led by the passionate frontman Kele Okereke, their first EPs played a crucial role in the development of British indie rock.

With the groundbreaking debut album Silent Alarm (2005), in which they experimented with electronic textures, the band established themselves as pioneers. This was followed by albums and innovative projects such as A Weekend in the City (2007), Intimacy (2008), Four (2011), Hymns (2016) and the most recent Alpha Games (2022).

In 2023 Bloc Party released the single Flirting Again, and last year started the phased release of rare tracks, deep cuts and fan favorites on streaming services. Thus their full catalogue is now available, including the single Two More Years (2005) and the Little Thoughts EP.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Silent Alarm they headlined Crystal Palace Park in the summer of 2024 for more than 25,000 attendees. In May of this year Bloc Party received the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection, and they made history at the Reading and Leeds Festivals as the first band to serve as the Icons closing headliner.

About Interpol
Interpol was formed in New York City in the early 2000s and grew to become one of the most influential bands of their generation. With their characteristic dark, atmospheric sound and the deep voice of Paul Banks, the band ushered post-punk into a new era.

Their debut album Turn on the Bright Lights (2002) was praised worldwide and is still considered one of the best albums of the decade. The follow-up album Antics (2004) confirmed their status as a leading alternative rock band.

Throughout their career Interpol released seven studio albums and sold millions of copies worldwide. They have played legendary venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and the Zócalo in Mexico City. Their influence on alternative music remains large, and their unique mix of post-punk and dark wave continues to inspire generations of fans.
