The Irish band Bricknasty moves effortlessly between r&b, neosoul, and jazz. What started as a chance encounter on SoundCloud between frontman Fatboy and producer Cillian McCauley quickly grew into a dynamic live band with bassist Dara Abdurahman, drummer Korey Thomas, and saxophonist/keyboardist Louis Younge.

After their debut EP ‘INA CRUELER’, in which they candidly reflect on their lives, origins, and relationships, Bricknasty took the next step in 2024 with the experimental mixtape ‘XONGZ አስቀያሚ ጡብ’. The title might be a tongue twister, but the music speaks for itself. On this, the band explores a broader sound palette, with intimate lyrics, adventurous productions, and striking videos that underscore their surrealistic and visual style.
