On Wednesday, November 11, Funk Legacy Allstars brings an exclusive celebration of the history of funk to Patronaat. Led by 'The Queen of Sax' Candy Dulfer, Nigel Hall and Eric “Benny” Bloom of the American funk band Lettuce join forces for an evening filled with timeless classics by James Brown & The JB's, Sly and the Family Stone, Funkadelic, George Duke, and Bootsy Collins, among others.
For Nigel Hall and Benny Bloom, these funk legends were the greatest source of inspiration in the formation of Lettuce, while Candy Dulfer herself has played with various original funk pioneers. Together with her full band, including vocalist Camilo Rodriguez and guitarist Ulco Bed, Funk Legacy Allstars promises a show full of deep grooves, virtuoso improvisations, and the explosive live energy for which both Candy Dulfer and Lettuce are known worldwide.
