Cello Collectief
The twenty-four cellists of the Cello Collectief play Ravel, Prokofiev, and Mahler.
On Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Cello Collectief will perform at the BIMHUIS in Amsterdam.
The twenty-four amateur cellists will give a free concert featuring a selection from their upcoming winter concerts. The program includes arrangements of, among others, Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev, Ma mère l’Oye by Maurice Ravel, and the Fourth Symphony by Gustav Mahler.
With sometimes as many as twenty-four independent cello parts, the Cello Collectief demonstrates how warm, rich, and versatile a cello ensemble can sound. They recommend listening to their heroes from Berlin for the best of the best.
