CHARLOT is driven by a deep need to understand. After writing her debut album Lost Like Alice, in which she wandered through questions about meaning and identity, she discovers in her new work that identity may not be what it really is about. Inspired by psychology and Eastern philosophy she realizes that she has strayed a little from what is essential: her first love for the act of making itself, the practice of (self)compassion, and the ability to remain amazed and curious. Her new music arises when she turns inward and slows the pace, in a world that just rushes on.

In recent years CHARLOT and her band were voted #2 best act of Noorderslag by 3voor12 ("CHARLOT and her band are ready for the larger halls"). They played at Lowlands, supported Froukje in AFAS Live and the Lotto Arena, and toured with their own show through the Netherlands and Belgium.
