The Dutch trio Chica Chica sounds anything but Dutch with their mix of psychedelic cumbia, vintage funk, and exotic grooves. Led by frontwoman/bassist Judith Renkema, Chica Chica delivers an organically swinging sound reminiscent of the delightful analog times of yesteryear (fortunately, we still have the faded photos). Expect a lot of new work tonight, as Chica Chica's second album Mi Zafira, the follow-up to their self-titled debut album from 2023, is released this September.
