The American-Mexican singer-songwriter David Ramirez began around 2009 as a solid folk and americana performer, but as his career progresses, he takes increasingly exciting turns. In 2021, he released the gospel album Backslider, and with his new, sixth album All The Not So Gentle Reminders (2025), he has reinvented himself, or rather: liberated himself. The album features long instrumental passages, synthesizers, cinematic arrangements – not for nothing does Ramirez call it his most ambitious album to date.
