The Irish singer-songwriter Niall McCabe blends the rich folk tradition of his homeland with Americana. His sources of inspiration are equally diverse: Van Morrison, Sting, and Alison Krauss. On his debut album Rituals (2023), McCabe's warm voice is the first thing that stands out, but don't overlook his excellent fingerpicking guitar playing, as heard on the almost-title track The Ritual. In 2025, McCabe's second album Stranger was released. Growing up in his family's pub on the small island of Clare Island has its advantages: this singer is also an excellent storyteller of anecdotes!
