De Klassieke Duif opens its fourth season with an evening entirely dedicated to Franz Schubert. Ella van Poucke and Stephen Waarts invite mezzo-soprano Barbara Kozelj for an intimate Schubertiade, inspired by the living room concerts that Schubert's friends organized during his lifetime.
From Schubert's songs to the Fantasy for violin and piano and the Second Piano Trio: the program demonstrates how strongly melody and voice run through all his music. An evening full of lyricism, ensemble playing, and beautiful chamber music, as if you were briefly seated in a Viennese salon from 1828.
