At 79, Cuban guitarist/singer Eliades Ochoa is one of the last great interpreters of 'son cubano', the traditional Cuban music in which Spanish and African influences meet. In the late nineties, when he already had a rich career behind him in his homeland, he achieved worldwide breakthrough as a member of the Buena Vista Social Club thanks to the documentary about that cheerful veteran band – Ochoa can be heard on the major hit Chan Chan, among others. Expect classics from son cubano tonight and, of course, a number of wonderful songs by the Buena Vista Social Club!
