The Belgian supergroup Glitterpaard saw the light in 2022 as a homage to Mark Linkous, also known as Sparklehorse, who met a tragic end. This one-off tribute grew into a formation with original songs and the name continues to honorably commemorate. With their second record in hand, the band has repeatedly proven to have captured the feeling and presents melancholic indie with velvet gloves. The quintet seeks depth again on the newest record Thursday and effortlessly melts the backgrounds of the band members into a mature, rich sound. 30 January Glitterpaard is in the Kleine Zaal.

Glitterpaard isn't called a supergroup for nothing; the band is made up of members from bands like Millionaire, Marble Sounds, Portland, and Mintzkov. The five-piece has already proven their worth in these other projects and, with their new lineup, proves they're succeeding with flying colors once again.
