The music of the American band Grayscale will undoubtedly interest fans of The Maine, Mayday Parade and State Champs. Starting out as a pure pop punk band, they have gradually developed towards a more mature, softer, more modern and fresh sound, but still with the classic emo and pop punk influences that made them famous. On Saturday 8 November they will be in Patronaat!

They make music that relies heavily on emotion and atmosphere, in which personal stories about love, loss and growth are central. Their sound is melodic and dynamic: they combine the raw energy of pop punk with a refined, almost pop-like production. Instead of purely opting for fast riffs and screaming choruses, Grayscale often seeks out the nuance with subtle electronic influences and layered arrangements.
