Hester:
Hester is a four-member band that transforms alternative indie-rock ballads into wondrous paintings. Their cinematic music testifies that softness and strength go hand in hand. With nature-inspired, sturdy grooves and intense vocal dynamics they show how grieving music can be both uplifting and empowering. Hester captures something between light and dark. Between modern and old. Between renewal and decay.
Support: Fenne Scholte
Fenne invites you to step into a special room—a space where you can freely talk about everything that occupies you, without fear of judgment. A place where you feel safe and can relax, where you may laugh, cry, and drift away in your own thoughts. She creates this intimate atmosphere with surprising harmonies, personal lyrics and lyrical melodies, making the whole feel like a warm living room where you immediately feel at home. In this musical living room you hear influences from her examples Eloise, Bruno Major and Jacob Collier—musicians who break boundaries and combine jazz elements with contemporary pop productions. In 2021 Fenne released her first album, titled Hope. The single "Wish I Could Sing" was awarded the Charles Mingus Prize for "Best Composition" in 2022.
