HKU Presents the Dragon Fruit Music Festival
Tea for Ten
Tea for Ten Playground is the conservatory’s freshest jazz crew, powered by a grooving rhythm section, two soulful saxes, a bold trumpet, and not one but two singers ready to light up the stage. From foot-tapping swing to modern jazz twists, we mix old-school charm with new-school spark. This is our very first semester together—so expect big smiles, lively improvisations, and a band that’s having just as much fun as the audience.
Marigold:
Marigold is a soft blend of songwriter and pop folk music. With the bands main focus on taking a breath, creating a home – easy and warm – on stage.
Renee :
This is Renée! When she writes, she turns all her thoughts into songs that feel both vulnerable and relatable. Her music moves somewhere between ‘Kleinkunst’ and alternative Dutch pop. Together with Joelle she invites you to listen to their intimate set with two soft voices and one guitar, creating an atmosphere as if you’re sitting in the room with them.
Rosa Westerbaan
Rosa Westerbaan is an indie pop artist and singer-songwriter. Her Dutch and Englisch songs invite you into her world, where we dance wildly with the sea but also dare to be vulnerable.
This spring the first EP (with a full band!) is coming out. Here she will play some of those songs, in a more intimate setting.
Yellowsong
My music is inspired by the richness that can be found in both the inner and outer world. With acoustic guitar and vocals, we explore the nuances of feeling, healing, nature and love.
