With ten years under his belt as a worldwide touring live artist, DJ, and collector of obscure gems, Ivan Ave continues to marvel at sound as something magical. Growing up in Norway's Telemark, he found his musical calling among the R&B CDs of his sisters and the jazz and soul records of the seventies. Thus, his own music has become a cocktail of introspective lyrics, soulful melodies, and influences from funk, jazz, and hip-hop.

On his latest album 'Side Quest Living', released this year, Ivan Ave sounds more personal than ever. His lyrics balance everyday musings and profound questions about life. The album is filled with warm melodies, vintage synths, and laid-back beats reminiscent of soul, jazz, and 90s hip-hop. Much of the production was done by him, which makes the whole thing intimate and original. It's a gentle album with attention to detail that reveals new things every time you listen.

How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city, there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
