Joël Domingos is a Dutch-Cape Verdean singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer. Growing up surrounded by the records of Cesária Évora and the lyrics of Billy Joel and Simon & Garfunkel, he developed a keen ear for music early on. With his soulful vocals, catchy hooks, hip-hop flows, and authentic Cape Verdean rhythms, he has created a cheerful, distinctive style where danceable Dutch pop and alternative hip-hop meet.

In 2024, his debut album 'Dromers Slapen Niet' was released. The album received rave reviews from NRC and Het Parool, and went viral with tracks like 'Beetje Vrijheid' and 'Stick To Your Ways'. What followed was a club tour playing sold-out venues from Rotterdam to Groningen, with a sold-out show at Tolhuistuin as the icing on the cake. Following the success of his debut, Joël is anything but sitting still: he is currently working on his second album, which is expected in the late summer of 2026.
