Julia Jacklin is celebrated for her emotionally direct lyrics, compelling performances, and powerful voice. Since the release of her critically acclaimed debut album 'Don't Let The Kids Win' (2016), Jacklin has grown into one of the most respected artists in the contemporary indie rock scene, with follow-up albums 'Crushing' (2019) and 'PRE PLEASURE' (2022), the latter debuting at number 2 on the ARIA Charts. Throughout her career, she has won two ARIA Awards and received thirteen nominations, as well as widespread international critical acclaim. Both 'Crushing' and 'PRE PLEASURE' appeared on numerous year-end lists of the best albums and were unanimously praised by media outlets such as Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NME, MOJO, and Uncut.
Jacklin is a formidable live performer and has built a substantial global following with sold-out headline shows at venues such as the Roundhouse in London, the Forum in Melbourne, and Brooklyn Steel in New York, in addition to performances at major festivals like Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Austin City Limits, Pitchfork Music Festival, and Laneway. Alongside her extensive headlining tours, she has shared the stage with artists such as Mitski, Lana Del Rey, Courtney Barnett, and Faye Webster, with whom she has also collaborated musically.
