Indie rock band Kiwi Jr. released their debut album ‘Football Money’ in 2020, a cheerful, upbeat jangle-pop album in the same vein as labelmates Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. The quartet from Toronto, Canada, is also making the sun shine a little brighter at Sub Pop Records. And through that renowned label, ‘Cooler Returns’ was released, featuring guitar lines just as upbeat as its predecessor. With their follow-up ‘Chopper,’ the band struck out in a new direction, incorporating more post-punk and synth elements. Recently, the band released the new track ‘Hard Drive, Ontario,’ perhaps their strangest, but most catchy song to date. It’s a preview of the new album set to be released later this year.
