The English indie rock duo Blood Red Shoes consists of Steven Ansell on drums/vocals and Laura-Mary Carter on guitar/vocals. A better description: rarely has a band with only two people produced so much noise. Ever since their debut album Box Of Secrets (2008), Blood Red Shoes has excelled with their raw, sing-along mix of garage rock, noise, and punk, incorporating electronic influences on their later records. Following their sixth album Ghosts On Tape (2022) and a live record, new music is coming out again this year.
