Comedy, Stand-up

After the overwhelming success of the first edition, Laugh Maroc returns to the heart of Amsterdam this year. On December 25, 2025, the iconic Paradiso Amsterdam will once again be filled with an evening of Moroccan humor, music, and culture.

Amsterdam MC Rachid Larouz, known from the legendary TV show Raymann is Laat, will lead the audience with his signature energy and humor through an evening of top-notch entertainment. Also shining on stage will be Amsterdam's Omar Ahaddaf, the stand-up comedian who gained national fame with his roles in Mocro Maffia (father of mouse) and the series Gouden Uur (Golden Hour), and won the 2012 Leiden Cabaret Festival. His sharp wit and unique style have made him a crowd-pleaser in the Dutch comedy world.

In addition, the popular duo Hassan & Mohsien will provide a generous dose of relatable, everyday humor, a perfect reflection of the Moroccan-Amsterdam lifestyle, presented with a unique twist.

Musical premiere: Oualid presents his new album in Amsterdam The evening's musical accompaniment comes from Amsterdam-based Oualid, a Moroccan-Egyptian musician shaping the new sound of Arab youth culture. From his home base in Amsterdam, Oualid has become one of the most streamed and visually distinctive voices of the new Arab generation.

With global hits like "Di Mochkila" (over 120 million streams), "Jini" (over 95 million streams), and "Ya Nari" (over 45 million streams), Oualid is a leading figure in the growing movement of transnational Arab artists connecting North Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. His music combines emotive Arabic melodies with modern Afro-Arab rhythms and international pop and urban influences — a reflection of the energy of the globalized Arab youth.

During Laugh Maroc Amsterdam, Oualid will present his brand-new album live on the Paradiso stage, once again demonstrating why he's one of the most promising artists of his generation.

Between the comedy acts, DJ Mimi will create the perfect atmosphere with her mix of modern beats and Arabic grooves. The renowned Dutch DJ with Moroccan roots, nominated for the FunX Awards 2022, has already performed on major stages like Tomorrowland and is now bringing her unique energy to Amsterdam.
