The New York electronic formation Machine Girl is the project of Matt Stephenson, also known as DJ Chaotic Ugly (and half of electronic duo Prolaps). With Machine Girl he makes a hyperactive mix of breakcore, punk and rave, although Stephenson himself prefers to call it 'fucked-up electronic punk'. On 24 October 2025 Machine Girl's seventh album Psycho Warrior will be released. For the lyrics Stephenson was inspired by Carl Gustav Jung – the theme is how to resist the excesses of modern technology. First single Come On Baby, Scrape My Data already sets the tone!
